Nirvana Dhamma Foundation

Nirvana Dhamma Foundation

A compassionate friend on the path beyond suffering.

The Foundation shares the pure teachings of the Buddha — the Four Noble Truths and the Noble Eightfold Path — freely, openly, and without distinction of religion, race, or background.

A non-profit foundation incorporated in Sri Lanka. Established 2026.
Serving all who seek inner liberation.

A quiet mountain horizon at dawn

The path we walk together

For more than two and a half millennia, the Dhamma has offered a clear, direct response to the universal experience of suffering.

It does not ask for belief. It invites investigation. It does not promise reward elsewhere. It points to freedom here, in this very life.

The Foundation exists to preserve and share these teachings in their pristine and authentic form — as a compassionate friend, never as an authority. Our work is dedicated to those who wish to understand the nature of mind, ease the layers of ego, and live with greater clarity, kindness, and peace.

Our mission

To share the pure, authentic teachings of the Buddha as a compassionate companion to every seeker, regardless of background — supporting the easing of suffering and the awakening of insight into the Four Noble Truths.

Our vision

A world in which the timeless teachings of the Dhamma are freely accessible — in every language, in every nation, to every person who seeks understanding — without barrier, without commerce, and without sectarian distinction.

Our work

Three pillars hold the activity of the Foundation.

Each program is offered as a public good — without commercial promotion, and without precondition. Programs are delivered in Sinhala, Tamil, and English.

01

Teaching and practice

Meditation retreats, Dhamma discourses, study circles, and structured courses in mindfulness — offered in three languages.

02

Publication and translation

Carefully prepared texts, audio recordings, and digital resources that make the Pali Canon and authentic commentarial tradition accessible to modern readers.

03

Community and outreach

Counselling rooted in Dhamma principles, youth engagement, inter-tradition dialogue, and quiet humanitarian support for those in need.

In the meantime

The Foundation’s website is being prepared with care.

A full website is being readied for public release. Until it is ready, the Office of the Secretary remains reachable for general enquiries, partnerships, and press — in confidence and without delay.
